There are some attentiongrabbing points in time in this article but I dont know if I see all of them heart to heart. I really appreciate your hard work on this. I think I finally understand the OpenFOAM file structure. However, I keep getting the following error message.

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
"ill defined primitiveEntry starting at keyword 'laplacian(nu,' on line 33 and ending at line 55"

file: /home/josh/FoamCases/ppWall/system/fvSchemes at line 55.

From function primitiveEntry::readEntry(const dictionary&, Istream&)
in file lnInclude/IOerror.C at line 132.

FOAM exiting

I have carefully checked my files and I can't trace the error. It works if I comment out the line in fvSchemes that says "laplacian(nu, U) Gauss linear orthogonal". Can you provide any insight?

Thanks a million sir,
I m having a small problem, i tried to follow the steps giving in chapter 5 and i got an error saying that i can't chose the type "symmetryPlane" in the topAndBottom boundary.
this is from my boundary file :
topAndBottom
{
type symmetryPlane;
physicalType symmetryPlane;//I don't know if i should change this or not, i tried both ways, it didn't work
nFaces 374;
startFace 126055;
}

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Symmetry plane 'topAndBottom' is not planar.
At local face at (-1.986373 4.004336 0.0500542) the normal (0 1 0) differs from the average normal (0 0 0) by 1
Either split the patch into planar parts or use the symmetry patch type

symmetry patch type don't give the same results.
